Facilities Design Intern
Charged with the task of creating an installation guide for future store décor packages and implementing them for specific store prototypes. This template was used corporate wide for all future store installation packages. Designed visual merchandising displays and developed CAD models from blueprints. Photos show CAD concept development, mockup design and production.
Responsibilities included working with creative directors and graphic designers on development of promotional posters, mailers, P.O.P kits and store signage. Assisted in directing photo shoots and independently designed and fabricated five hand-made portfolios to showcase the Publix Greenwise prototypes.
GreenWise Market is a retail concept Publix introduced in 2007 in response to the increase in the number and profitability of health food stores such as Whole Foods Market. GreenWise Markets were created to increase awareness of nutrition; products under the GreenWise brand are free from added dyes, flavors, hormones, raised without antibiotics, and are USDA organic. The first six stores were set to be in Palm Beach Gardens, Boca Raton, Vero Beach, Tampa, Naples, and Coral Springs, Florida.
To celebrate and document the process of creating these unique stores Publix contracted me to design & fabricate albums to capture their creation. Each album was hand made from American black walnut, hand-dyed organic cotton, and precision stainless hardware. Photos show concept development, mockup design, and production.
